Day 01
   AIRPORT-KANDY

Welcome, meet and assist and proceed to Kandy Via Pinnawala.<br/>En route visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage founded in 1975 in order to afford care and protect many of the unweaned wild elephants found in forests. Here you can view the daily routine of the elephants which takes place daily. The highlight of this event is you can observe on bottle feeding of baby elephants, the bathing elephants from the broad river bank as a herd and their playing activities. (All these events can be captured.)<br/>On reaching Kandy you are liable to visit Peradeniya botanical garden.<br/>The Peradeniya Botanical Garden which is the largest of Sri-Lanka’s 03 main botanical gardens. Here you can experience on extensive well kept lawns, the famous Orchid house, Octagon conservatory, numerous flower borders such as Roses, Cannas, Deliyas etc and a rare collection of tropical exotic species, palms and pines.<br/>Overnight stay at Hotel in Kandy.

After having breakfast visit The Temple of Tooth Relic.<br/>The main attraction of the city is the Temple of the sacred tooth relic which is known as Dalada Maligawa. This is the temple built within the royal palace complex in 17th century which houses one of the sacred tooth of Buddha. A golden canopy was added recently. You can have a look on daily rituals which are being carried out at various offering times to the shrine.<br/>Afterwards experience a city tour around Kandy which is pride itself as a UNESCO world heritage site for its scenery beauty and for the cultural and religious value. Visit the Market Place, Arts & Crafts showroom and a drive or a walk along the Kandy Lake round to get a panoramic view of it.<br/>Later leave to Nuwara Eliya.<br/>En route visit a tea plantation and a tea factory and experience the process of tea manufacturing.<br/>Nuwara Eliya is the city in the hill country of the central province in Sri-Lanka situated at around 2000m above the sea level surrounded by hills, waterfalls and lush tea plantations which is considered to be the heart of the tea production industry. Nuwara Eliya is called Little England because of its spring like weather throughout the year.<br/>Overnight Stay at hotel in Nuwara Eliya

Early morning leave the hotel with packed breakfast for an excursion to Horton Plains.<br/>The Horton plain national park is a protected area in the central highlands of Sri-Lanka located on a high windswept saddle at almost 2134 metres which is an expanse of misty grasslands, rare and beautiful plants, ice cold streams and cloud forests. Horton Plains national park is undoubtedly one of the world’s best nature reserves and eco tourism venues in Sri-Lanka. Many species found here are endemic to the region. The misty Horton plains have being the key attraction among the tourists because of the combination of grasslands with montane forests, typical mammals and because of the ideal sites for bird watchers. The plains also feature many interesting and amazing attractions such as “Bakers Falls”, ”Chimney Pool” and the famous ”World’s End” a 3700 ft sheer drop that offers fabulous views of the tea estates below and all the way out to the distant southern coastline where the southern plains drops vertically.<br/>After visiting the Horton Plains you will be directed to visit the Hakgala Botanical garden.<br/>which is established by an eminent British botanist for the purpose of experimentation of Cinchona later transformed to a garden. Since then many tropical plants were planted. Now the garden is famous for number of species of Roses and Orchids, best display of temperate annual flowers, the Flora garden consists of plants introduced from other subtropical countries which are systematically planted in various sections of the garden.<br/>In the evening a experience a sightseeing tour of the city, The market place, Golf course, The Hill Club and viewing a scenery beauty of the Gregory Lake along with a boat ride.<br/>Return to the hotel and Overnight stay at the hotel in Nuwara Eliya

After having breakfast checkout from the hotel and leave to Yala.<br/>En-route you can view backdrop of misty mountains, valleys and waterfalls.<br/>Rest of the day relax and rest in the hotel and leisure activities. Overnight stay at hotel in Tissamaharama.

Breakfast at the hotel and visit to Yala National Park for a jeep safari.<br/>Yala national park is the most visited and the second largest national park in Sri-Lanka. There are 06 national parks and 03 wild life sanctuaries in the vincity of Yala which covers 979 square kilometers. The park is best known for its variety of wild animals and is important for the conservation of Sri-Lankan elephants and aquatic birds. Here you could spot Leopards, Elephants, Sloth Bear, Sambhar and many kind of mammals and nearly 130 species of birds varieties.<br/>Overnight stay at hotel in Tissamaharama.<br/>

Morning after breakfast leave to Galle.<br>En route visit the Bundala National Park.<br>Bundala National Park is an internationally important wintering ground for migratory water birds in Sri-Lanka. This is famous for its diversity and profusion of aquatic bird life which feed on the rich harvest provided by the numerous lagoons throughout the park. Bundala harbors 197 species of birds the highlight being the Greater Flamingo which migrates in large flocks. In 2005 the national park was designated as a biosphere reserve by UNESCO. The Bundala National Park has been identified as an outstanding important bird watching area in the South Indian and Sri-Lankan wetlands.<br>Overnight stay at hotel in Galle.

Morning, after breakfast leave for Bentota.<br/>En route visit the Galle Dutch Fort , Dutch Museum and the mask factory in Ambalangoda.<br/>Galle is situated in the south of Sri-Lanka and is famous for its natural harbour, The Galle fort known as Dutch fort built in 1588 by Portuguese in the bay of Galle. Some of the important heritage monuments in the fort are Dutch reformed church, the dutch old government house, Galle light house. Galle therefore is a place which is historical, significant and archeological site.<br/>Ambalangoda town is famous as the home of traditional devil dancing and mask making. Colourful masks worn during traditional dance are carved out of soft wood and brightly painted. Handloom products such as batiks and hand-woven cottons are also found here.<br/>On reaching Bentota visit Kosgoda Marine Turtle farm , Maadu river boat ride and the famous water sport activities at the Bentota beach.<br/>Overnight stay in hotel at Bentota.

After having breakfast, proceed to the Air-Port for departure.<br/>En route experience a city tour around Colombo (if time permits as per the flight schedule)<br/>Colombo is the largest city and the commercial, industrial and cultural capital of Sri-Lanka. Colombo is a busy and vibrant place with a mixture of modern life and colonial buildings and ruins. Due to its large harbor and its strategic position along the east-west sea trade routes, Colombo was known to ancient traders 2000 years ago. Here you can visit the national Museum of Colombo, Gangaramaya temple, Old Dutch church, Independence square, drive through the Town hall and the busy markets and bazaars in Pettah.<br/><br/>End of the Tour.
